I've had it with that site!
The constant bickering and bullshit!
The weekly NSL v HAL debate these some of those guys can just never let go that the NSL is dead, and its like the downfall of the HAL will prove them right somehow.
I can't understand how you can love a game and in the same breathe want to see it fail.
Its so frustrating as well because I want to go on there and discuss football at different levels SAASL, FFSA and HAL are all covered there.
I probably will go back but for now I will leave it be before I throw my laptop through a window!

If it ever happens.
I thought it was mooted to start next season.
Next season...
Will we have to wait 8 months again?

Re: Footballnews
Its frustrating but I would much rather wait for them to get it right and don't rush into the thing. The last thing the FFA need to to piss off all the old ethnic clubs which in some cases are looking for any excuse to hate on them. Most that argue for the nsl were not even old enough to remember it.

Come up with a good comp that everyone is happy with and hopefully makes these clubs a nice bit of coin and everyone is happy.

The alleged FFA cup is doomed from the start if it's just to placate the old guard. If it doesn't regularly end up with matches in the sort of places currently used for one offs (Bathurst, etc.) then there is no point.

People, they are having trouble keeping the league together, how are they going to organise a National Cup competition?
I think the FFA pissed off the "old clubs" long ago.

Re: Footballnews
Thats why this comp is so important. If the FFA can be seen to be offering these clubs big meaningful matches, national tv time, larger exposure and hopefully a direct revenue stream many thing may be forgotten?People, they are having trouble keeping the league together, how are they going to organise a National Cup competition?

Don't you know sevengoals, any club which existed before the A-League began must be referred to as an "ethnic club".I think the FFA pissed off the "old clubs" long ago.

Re: Footballnews
Well that was the rule they brought in pretty much. Otherwise Perth and Newcastle wouldn't have been part of the A-league.Don't you know sevengoals, any club which existed before the A-League began must be referred to as an "ethnic club".I think the FFA pissed off the "old clubs" long ago.
