Definitely will, guys.

Honestly can't wait, things are really starting to fall in place, with possible jobs in Tokyo really starting to fly at me now. Last Friday was definitely a massive step in the right direction (and capped off with an AUFC win).

Looking at moving to the UK around March 2012 with the intention of staying for at least six months, longer if all goes well. I have family in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London who have all offered me a place to live. Hoping to see as many football games as I can while i'm there. Cannae wait!

I work in the transport industry now ( no i am not a cabby LOL)
Bus driver! Tram driver! Miss Daisy Driver! Dispatcher!

I'm off to the Maldives in three months to help coach a football camp. Going to be an interesting experience, since it's such a strict Islamic region. No pork, alcohol or porn, apparently.
After that, back to Tokyo, where I'll probably end up with three or four jobs and one of them will probably be some more youth football coaching. And English tutoring, because the pay is ridiculous.
Pork, Alcohol and Porn party before you leave.

I would recommend the Vietnam/Cambodia trip pesonally. I've not been to China or Fiji, but South East Asia is an extraordinary place.

No doubt the Great Wall would be an amazing experience also though, but I've been to other pacific islands and found it to be far less interesting than Asia.

Vietnam / Cambodia would be incredible.

Am currently in the process of sorting out my fieldwork on an outer island in Vanuatu, will prob be off there by the end of the year..
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Which one?

I regret not visiting Tanna (and to a lesser extent Espiritu Santo) while I was there - particularly for the volcano. It's a shame because I'm highly unlikely to ever go back.

Not that I was there at the right time of year, but it would have been remarkable to see the land diving on Pentecost too.

I'm probably going to be the odd one out, but go for this one:
http://www.worldexpeditions.com/au/inde ... ips&id=297
8 days kayaking from island to island in Fiji, while camping on the beach at night.
Mainly because it's the chance to go to several islands, camp and kayak. And kayaking is freaking awesome.

The morning snorkel at the end sounds alright, too. Plus, beaches! Who doesn't love those?

But if I get outnumbered, cycling through Vietnam/Cambodia sounds great.

It all comes down to the individual I suppose as they'd all be great experiences and would all take a fair bit of physical effort. I'm lucky enough to have spent a few years working in the Pacific so managed to spend a fair bit of time game fishing and spending the night on remote islands, have family and good friends in Beijing so I've been to the wall a myriad of times (including one very cool wedding on the wall) and Cambodia/Vietnam speaks for itself.

It's a wonderful selection to choose from and pretty much whichever one you choose will be a great adventure. I'd probably check the time of the year for each one though as April is stinking hot in Cambodia, there's the wet season to consider in the Pacific and the wall is really a Spring/Autumn affair if you're going any real distance.

Living/Working abroad is a lot different from a holiday.

One you get paid and have responsibilities, the other you pay for and can do anything (well almost).

If their is an opportunity for you to work abroad I would recommend it whole heartedly. It's a big step but the pros generally outweigh the cons by a large factor.

I do realise that Port Hedland isn't abroad but I have lived abroad in the past and Port Hedland is stranger than that :P.

Worse than that I am applying for a job in Melbourne atm

TBH, if i were to do it properly id look into their south american tours, but air fairs are a killer.

Anyone of those 3, or pretty much anything off that website would be amazing to participate in. The 3 i put up seemed the most interesting of the shorter tours from asia/pacific.

I think its fantastic so many people on here are well travelled and have a very open mind to exploring foreign parts of the globe for either working/living/holidays, i suppose what else would you expect from fans of "the world game"

For the record i personally cant pick from those 3 treks that i posted

Of course, but to think any thread would stringently stay on-topic is a ridiculous notion.
