Not in the RA (though contemplating joining next season, doubt you will see me much in active support area as I will be looking to bring my little boy with me) so no idea what it was like.

It's pretty much dead these days. Myself and a couple of others are the only one who post on it, and even then that's hardly ever.

Yeah it's pretty dead which is a shame, I think people got sick of reading mangled clumps of text that certain members though of as posts.

Re: Red Army AUFC Forum?
I find that the other sites are best for news and the RA forum is best for active info.
Might change, and others might see it differently, but w/e.

All the active support that went on in there made me want to have a lie down and a nice cup of warm milo.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

forcing people to sign up before viewing the forum content never works, comes off unfriendly imo. turned me off.

Re: Red Army AUFC Forum?
That came about as a safety issue, as one of the Victory incidents occured through their supporters reading information on one of the threads.forcing people to sign up before viewing the forum content never works, comes off unfriendly imo. turned me off.

Nothing, but it's better than not doing anything at all.
Re: Red Army AUFC Forum?
In all honesty, I'd have to agree with the above quote.forcing people to sign up before viewing the forum content never works, comes off unfriendly imo. turned me off.
You can set permissions to show some threads to the public and keep other forums private, which entices people to join if they like what they read in the publicly available forums.
Food for thought, perhaps.

Re: Red Army AUFC Forum?
nah, adelaidereds forum had probably 5-10x more activity and it still closed down. RA forum serves a purpose and i would think it's unlikely to change much.
Re: Red Army AUFC Forum?
adelaidereds.com closed down because we decided it'd be best that everyone migrated to this forum
