I do enjoy these guys from Finland, Steve'n'Seagulls. They do blue grass cover versions of various songs.

Super!
Their name is smart. :D

This video just popped up.
Never seen them before today but worth a spin.

Ok, heading somewhere different for most people, though somewhere I have been many times........Kiribati. This tune from 2019 is typical of the beat and style you'll find in the central Pacific. Plenty of energy as Micronesians love to dance.

What the hell, I'm feeling nostalgic so I'll give you two :D

I can't make my mind up about this music. Ever since "Vikings" came out there seems to have been a veritable flood of Norse folk-rock that takes itself ever so seriously, with accompanying videos inevitably cloaked in gloom.

The reason I can't make my mind up is that as much as the stereo-typing annoys, the music itself is bloody good. This is one example from Norway.

I don't mind it when they are going at each other with axes and shields in slow mo but that's about it.

This on the other hand is great!
I did not even know they released a new song last year until I read they won best song at the "Apras awards"

Gotta love the Oils!

Very cool. I was also unaware they'd brought out a new song.

Interesting as I often hear a about Gadigal Country and to a lesser extent Wurundjeri Country as one of the presenters on ABC Classic (which I listen to daily) announces which aboriginal land a piece was performed in rather than the city. As the Sydney Opera House is on Gadigal country you hear the phrase "brought to you from Gadigal country" regularly.

Off to Japan with Wagakki Band. They are definitely not J-Pop. They started out vocalising and covering songs created by artificial intelligence but write their own stuff now (such as this one).

Ah Japan, you can be delightfully weird as shit at times :D

Super sound!
I stumbled across them when I was looking for a Xmas CD for my 15year old niece who is into K-pop and J-pop.

And I also came across this band , Band Maid.

Band Maid's drummer is hammering away at a cracking pace in this one.

The outfits are interesting as there was (and probably still is) a subculture in Tokyo where girls would wear maid outfits. Not unusual to be standing next to such a girl while waiting for your train on the Yamanote-sen, particularly around Harajuku.

I couldn't find the lyrics in your link, however found them elsewhere. Wow, quite a statement against the far right. No doubt Ken Jebsen believes it is the work of the lizard people.

Sorry about that, they were there when I posted.

Never forget.
Never again.

This is the song Ken Jebesen sued them for and lost
