So sad to see the fall out from the England fans following the loss. Both online with the hate towards the penalty missers and the violence outside the ground. People were standing outside the gate where Italian fans were exiting to lay into them. Apparently a child was punched in the face.

There needs to be serious repercussions for the individuals involved. Their sense of entitlement is staggering.
I personally don't find it staggering. Just look at the approach the nation has had over the years towards the rest of the world. Colonisation when we're able to hear the indigenous point of view has never been a nice thing. Yet there is still a massive part of the nation that view them moving into these new countries as a civilised saviour. Ignoring the fact that settlers often hunted indigenous for sport among other things.
The nation is slowly changing and just like Australia is finally acknowledging their horrific past but there is such a massive element of both nations that still have this notion that they are somehow superior. Having lived in the UK I noticed a massive element in their society that they just look down on all European nations.
