I'm watching Vikings at the moment and I came across this little fact.

Marco Ilsø who plays Hvitserk in the TV series Vikings is the younger brother of our own ex-player Ken Ilsø.

B)
They actually had an article about it here in the Advertiser not long after he arrived in Adelaide. Val must have googled him when he arrived ;) there was also another article when his brother came here to visit.
I missed all that.

I've only recently started watching the series in its entirety rather than bits and pieces on you tube.
I only just put one and one together.

Is it any good, I watched the first couple of episodes and it didn't really grab my attention, did you find that too or is it just not for me?

I just started watching the Jack Ryan series and I'm enjoying that at the moment.

I like it.
As I mentioned I had seen quite a bit of disjointed stuff on you tube and a few full episodes on dodgy sites but since I can now stream the whole thing in HD I started watching it from the beginning and I have enjoyed it and gotten into it.

Plenty of time for that stuff now as we're in lock down ...

Stay healthy!

Beat me to it.
Socceroo’s midfielder James Jeggo is setting off to Greece to join the Superleague with Aris Thessaloniki FC.

Guess we can add George Blackwood to the list. He's off to Oldham in League 2.

Playing under Harry Kewell! Good luck to him! He no doubt has the ability, its just stringing those performances together.

Sergi Guardiola continues to shine in La Liga. Very classy assist and MOTM for Real Valladolid.
I reckon Leckie still has the title of most successful Former Red but Sergi is tracking him down IMO! Obviously that depends on what people define as success! I'm basing it on performances at arguably the highest level (Bundesliga & La Liga)

Not to be outdone by Guardiola, Leckie bounces back with a cracking assist in Hertha's 4-1 win over Werder. Then gets a neck injury and misses the following match. I hope its not serious as the player he replaced in the Werder games had a nightmare against Frankfurt. So the wingback position looks open for Leckie to lock down should he get fit. It seems like Hertha coach Labbadia is willing to give Leckie more game time than previous coaches.

And our own Awer Mabil will play Champions League!
Whatever ultimately transpires in Group D, which also includes recent semi-finalists Ajax and Atalanta, Mabil and his Danish upstarts are promising a joy ride for fans in terms of entertainment and enterprise.

So this is the plan ...
... Papas plans to transform Xanthi - plunged into the second tier as a penalty for past ownership irregularities - into a Mediterranean outpost and development hub for ambitious next-gen Australians.

Mabil in the photo and as a player in the vanguard of football analytics ...
Think of it as the Moneyball derby. Not so long ago, the idea a club could gain a vital edge using mathematical models – let alone employ a theoretical physicist or track key performance indicators (KPI) – would have left real football men choking on their meat pies and Bovril. But when Liverpool host Midtjylland in the Champions League on Tuesday, it will not only be a meeting between the champions of England and Denmark, but one between the twin vanguards of the sport’s analytics revolution.
