James Jeggo was dropped from this weekends match day squad.

The trainer made three changes to the team that lost last week away to Austria Wien 2-0.
Jeggo was one of the three players replaced.
Anything to do with him travelling to Australia to join the Socceroos?

Good point but I don't think so.
Usually there is enough time to make it back and there was no mention of him being left out due to the international travel.
He was taken off after 60min in the loss to Austria Wien.

Altch 1-1 Sturm Graz

James Jeggo started the game against Altach but was dragged in the 84 minute having presented the opposing team with the pass that produced their goal in the 82min.

I have not seen the incident but this is a quote from the Standard newspaper.
" Erst Jeggos völlig unnötiger und verunglückter Rückpass von der Mittellinie auf Gratzei brachte dem Tabellenzweiten den Torerfolg..."
http://derstandard.at/2000047845246/sturm-altach-remis

Google translation...
Only Jeggo's completely unnecessary and unfortunate back pass from the central line to Gratzei (Sturm Graz keeper) brought the goal success.
Far out, passing back to the keeper from around the half way line...

Sturm Graz were also a man down at this stage so taking a defensive midfielder off,Jeggo, and throwing on another striker (Kienast) was the smart thing to do as it resulted in the late, late equaliser for Sturm Graz.

Jeggo played a full 90minutes in Sturm's 1-2 away win at Rapid Wien.
Sturm Graz sit top of the Austrian Bundesliga on goal difference.

I've just seen on national Austrian TV during the sports segment of the nightly news the Rapid Wien trainer telling the journos that his team needs a player like Jimmy Jeggo, who runs, tackles, and fights for his team!

Cue rumours of a bid for Jeggo by Rapid in the January window.

Jimmy if you read this forum, mate don't do it!
The Sturm fans are a great mob ( Ivica Osim for ever!) but their number one hate is Rapid Vienna and if you go there you will be vilified endlessly and forever James.
And I will suggest to you James, that Sturm Graz have a great chance of winning the title this season.
Rapid Vienna do not.

Let's go Blackies!

And I forgot to mention that after Austria Wien, Rapid hate Sturm Graz the most and regardless what Canadi says they will not welcome you with open hearts.

Don't do it Jimmy!

There was an article in last months excellent football magazine "Ballesterer" about the A-league, it's growth and the new TV deal, the usual stuff.
It was written to coincide with the start of the season but obviously they had more interesting/pressing things to include at the time and therefore it was printed in December.

What I found very interesting is the interview they also did with James Jeggo.
Jeggo claims that the A-league is a slightly better standard than the Austrian Bundesliga but that the main difference is the depth of quality that runs through the squads here in the Bundesliga compared to the A-league.

james Jeggo is a fixed first team player having nailed down the number 6 position at Sturm Graz.

Jimmy Jeggo withdrawn from socceroos squad with a minor glute strain. Nathan Burns will replace him.

Meh he'd be unlikely to feature heavily, so I'm happy for him to stay in Graz and maintain his position.
