Awer came on in the 73rd minute in FCM's 4-1 loss at home to Napoli.
That result still leaves FCM in second place in the group.
He must be buzzing!

Mabil looked the goods and FCM looked much more dangerous when he came on. Definitely making the most of it now that he's gotten the chance. FCM have had a lot of injuries as of late which is of course in part responsible for him getting a shot, but he's definitely stepped up to the plate.
Anyway I haven't seen this posted here, so here's a brief interview from after his Superliga debut

Thanks for that!
I'm so happy for him!
This is one of the best parts about supporting a club is seeing these kids come thru and then hopefully go on the bigger and better things!
I'm as proud as this guy!

He's a big talent alright. Still lacking a bit of sharpness (should be no surprise to Reds fans ) but generally he seems to be coming along nicely. I think they should give him a chance to start in the derby against my team (Viborg) next week. Sadly, I could see him do some real damage against a side like ours.
Awer Mabil came on in the 57th min. and funnily enough he replaced Midtjylland's Austrian player
Daniel Royer.
Australian on for an Austrian.

Mabil had his first start against Roskilde last night in a cup game. A game which FCM lost. He didn't look great, but neither did the rest of the team really.

Bilbo buggins, it seems like the fans are behind mabil, is there a fair bit of expectation that he is a future star from the fans point of view ?

Oh there's no doubt that he's someone the club and the fans are expecting a lot of in the future. It's hard not to make the comparison to Pione Sisto of course and that definitely does not hurt his popularity. Same age, attacking player, also South Sudanese origins, said no thanks to going to Westham this summer on a £4.9m transfer deal. Mabil obviously isn't nearly as far along in his development, but people realise that as well.

Its definitely interesting, it would seem they have higher expectations of mabils potential then most aufc fans.
I think most of us expected him to head to europe at some stage but not be any more of a star then a nathan burns.

Mabil is in the FCM squad in the derby against Viborg FF today. I'm hoping for, but not really expecting, 3 points for Viborg.

You got your 3 points, 2-4, nice work. I didn't see Mabil on the sheet though.

Good win Bilbo.
Mabil seems to have not been included in the match day squad.
