Is there anything like this we can get for the HAL? I cancel my Foxtel in off season and I'm dreading having to pay $70pm again for it soon :(

Last couple of seasons it's been on livesport.tv and it's hell cheap, like $8 per month or something. Not on any DNS providers I know of but worked ok with a VPN...

Bein as mentioned is good for Euro leagues but I remember reading somewhere they only show one live EPL game at a time now due to legions of English fans using it, some body might be able to confirm that though...

Thanks double07.

When you say "works okay" do you mean stream quality is poor or it drops out or what?

Another option, is Bein Sports (formally Al-Jazeera)
$130 US a year. 15 sports channels (some or all in English but definitely EPL is)

Insane number of leagues:
EPL
Serie A
Bundesliga
Ligue 1
La Liga
Russian League
Argentinian League
Pretty much all the Champions Leagues (UEFA, AFC, CAF, Copa

If it had the HAL, I'd have already got it.
Any idea if they screen all serie a games or just the big clubs?

Hopefully in the near future having access to any sport/league all over the world is as easy as downloading an app and purchasing a years private subscription and your set, cuts out the middle man also !! ( fox. )

If foxtel offered an online football only service they would get alot of people subscribing but I guess that may hurt their full fox subscriptions too much.

When I say works ok I meant it's region blocked in Australia so you need a VPN with a UK endpoint to watch it (unless there's a DNS provider out there who works with it?). Quality wise I'd say it's maybe slightly worse than Foxtel SD quality, but still a damn site better than dodgy illegal streams.

Here's some photos I took of my 27" screen a while back:

That def looks better than a dodgy stream and probably better than sitting 15 foot away from a tv in the pub with no sound on.

I hook it up to my 55" TV and it looks fine... sure it's not HD but for bloody $8 per month it's brilliant.

Better than $50 a month for foxtel play if all you want is a-league

Foxtel standard def I have is woeful. It must be something like 480P and it is really a strain on the eyes for HAL. Free to air tv is much higher res.

I'm interested to know what VPN you used. PM me if you don't want to post about it.

Nah that's cool, for VPN I use StrongVPN USD$55 per year plan. For DNS I use unblock-us which costs about USD$5 p/m.

Unotelly is a DNS service that works with livesport
https://www2.unotelly.com/channels#chan ... e_sport_tv

It says the rugby version but it may work for all. Easy to test as they give you 7 days for free.

We can check the tv guide out next week when the league starts but from memory they show a few games live and the others on replay.

Re: that idea. There's a reason why News Limited (and Rupert Murdoch) are so against the NBN...
