Euro Soccer Cup Final thread

The Euro Soccer Cup Final is coming to the Wembley Arena, and with the very best that the German EPL has to offer doing soccer battle, soccer fans will be hoping it’s a ‘magnifique’ occasion!

So much for that...

Dortmund 1-2 Bayern Munich

A bloody late goal seals it!

Two teams play football and the Germans always win or something like that.

The joke in our house last night was that there was one German team playing and one team from Bavaria (Bayern), snigger, snigger.

I think you need to be Austrian to get it.

:D

The football season 2012/2013 is slowly but surely coming to end up here.

We had a few beers wondering who would win the final, Prussia or Bavaria.

Great game in the end!

A dramatic ending.
And Redemption for Bayern.

But I feel a bit for Klopp and his team.

Yes, I found myself wanting Bayern to win but not wanting Dortmund to lose

Bayern did score the decisive goal ("we had learned from the last final that it's best to score late, so that your opponents don't have a chance to come back," joked Müller) but the overwhelming feeling was one of relief at the final whistle.

There is also a link to the "brick-by-brick fussball" highlights.
Very entertaining.

I was very torn for the game, I wanted Dortmund the underdogs to snatch it, but I witnessed Bayern offer Arsenal a footballing lesson at the Emirates so to be able to say I saw the UCL winners play is nice!

Very entertaining match great to see the drama of Robben redeeming himself with a late winner.

I didn't hear why Gotze missed the match, was he actually injured? Seemed a little suss to me. Why they would announce him moving a week or two before the final is odd, why not wait till after?

Götze was injured, his thigh I think.

The transfer announcement was a Bayern ploy to destabilize Dortmund before their CL semi, methinks.

Shame he is going to Bayern.

Not surprising at all. If I were Bayern I would do the same. Pity for Dortmund it happened that way.
