always look for the asterisk

QPR go up, no points dedection and only a token fine

Lot of comment and anger in England about this, from Luton, Portsmouth and Swansea (and Leeds ) fans about this and precedence and the time it took for the decision and timing of the annoucement.
But they all forgot the asterisk
At the bottom of the last page of the FA rules of the laws of the game there is an asterisk, its says:

* all the above do not apply in London.

As far Crystal Palace is concerned even the FA is no defence against being totally shite.
But I will remind you of the West Ham /Tevez case.

Although karma seems to be working this year, albiet with a 40 million quid payoff.

It will be a dream " promotion " this year for the FA
QPR - one working class London Club for another (except with billionaire owners)
Norwich - with that lovely Deila Smith and Stephen Fry, how wonderful.
Swansea or Cardiff through the playoffs a welsh club at last in the EPL, for one season at least.

The whole West Ham saga did all seem very messy. But you have to remember though in regards to QPR - the Football League never had the same rules on 3rd party ownership that the Premier League did. They have since brought in the same rules, but they brought in those rules after QPR had already signed Faurlin.

And in fact it would have been a massive double standard as Cardiff have done exactly the same thing as QPR did - and they play in the same division but faced no charges whatsoever because they are not answerable to the English FA - and the Welsh FA have no problem with such arrangements.

That needs to be cleaned up IMO - if Swansea & Cardiff wish to play in English competition they need to be answerable to the FA.
