Leckie came off injured in the 22min of a 2-0 defeat at Wolfsburg.

From what I have understood he experienced a problem with his vision.

I hope it's not serious.

Ingolstadt 2-0 Werder Bremen

Leckie fit and back in the team.

The was involved in the first goal heading on a free kick that pin-balled in the penalty area before being put away by an Ingolstädt player.

He played till the 92min and was then substituted.

Ingolstadt sitting in 10th position on the ladder, 9 points away from the relegation play off spot and 5 points from a Europa Cup play off place.

Interesting situation to be in.

By the way, I looked at the full highlights last night and Leckie had also played the ball into the channel to the player who was fouled for the penalty.
So you can say he had a hand in both goals.

I am watching the Hamburg - Ingolstadt game at the moment and the commentators were waxing lyrical about Leckie and Aussie rules when Sakai (playing for Hamburg) and Leckie were both running backward for a ball (with eyes on the ball) when they were cleaned up by the goal keeper whom they both didn't see. Sakai is seeing stars (coming off) and no doubt that photo will be in the papers tomorrow. Big hit.

Mathew Leckie scores the second and plays 90mins in a exciting 3-3 home draw with VfB Stuttgart.

Looked like a cracking game! I hope they show the replay on Fox Asia (they didn't have the live game, had Hannover-Köln and Mochengladbach v Frankfurt instead).

EDIT: Found the replay, 3am Tuesday......I don't think I'm that keen and will settle for the Youtube highlights.

I kept falling asleep watching. But I'd wake up every time I heard his name! Cracking assist! He probably should have scored as well. Wonderful to see a kid from AU going all the way to the Bundesliga and being part of that.

Totally agree.

I think its lost on most people what it means for guys like leckie and kruse to be starting in the bundesliga.

The overall standard is higher then the epl and the crowds tend to be larger and louder. Somehow anything not english related gets slept in by football "fans"

Just have a look at the team sheet for bayern, these names are normal for leckie and kruse. Sadly we always under rate our own players

Leckie is our best performing club player, a pity he has not produced at quite that level for the Socceroos.
