Leckie starting for the roos probably means he will be lucky to get any minutes on sunday.

Although he is an important player so i may still be in luck

At least he only has to fly to Germany and not Australia. Brissy reckon Franjic and McKay are likely to feature for them. Hopefully not very well!

Well leckie scored today 1-0 over st pauli.

He scored just as i was climbing the home terrace ( game was all but sold out ) great goal also.

He played left mid and really did not get forward alot as st pauli controlled much of the game.

I noiticed anytime leckie has the ball with an ounce of space the crowd are on edge expecting him to create something.

He missed a 1 on 1 with the keeper in the second half he really should have scored.

He made some great runs not rewarded by some terrible passing , even the frankfurt fans were getting frustrated.

Rukavitsa from what i could see was mostly a target man with little service but had some good moments.

St pauli fans are epic i must say !! Did not stop all game and made alot of noise.

Fsv frankfurt are clearly the ccm interms of active fan support...occasionally chanting fsv fsv fsv but that was literally it

Forgot i managed a few mobile phone videos when i was in Frankfurt so i thought id share.

First video is Leckie butchering an opportunity 1 on 1 with the keeper, to be fair he did already score the one and only goal in the game and was probably the only play on the pitch who looked likely to score again.

St Pauli fans down the other end in full voice despite losing, freaking impressive!! Spoke with a few fairly hard core st Pauli fans in the train station. Even though they knew we were supporting Frankfurt they saw to it we had a drink in our hand and knew where to go.

Another St pauli fan even asked me to watch his bag while he ordered some Mcdonalds despite the Frankurt scarf i was wearing!

I was massively impressed with the fans attitude and conduct

This last video has nothing to do with the thread but figured id share.

Serie A, Atalanta fans vs Livorno. Always a great atmosphere in Bergamo and ive become a wee bit attached

Its a good move.

They apparently are planning to break into the bundesliga with some big signings. Frankfurt was a very defensive minded team not really giving options for a pacey striker to leave his mark. Although leckie scored quite a few goals.

I hope he can do something like that for the Socceroos soon. IMO if he can bag a goal or two in the up coming friendlies it will do his condfience the world of good and he can tear it up in front of a home crowd and really become Australian football's poster boy.

Fc Ingolstadt 04 won away 0-1 against Karlsruher.

Leckie played 90min.

For your information...
Ingolstadt was the city where William IV, Duke of Bavaria wrote and signed the Bavarian Reinheitsgebot in 1516. In 1748, Adam Weishaupt, the founder of the Order of Illuminati, was born in Ingolstadt.

Adolf Scherzer composed the "Bayerischen Defiliermarsch". Mary Shelley's Frankenstein was set at the Ingolstädter Alte Anatomie (Old Anatomy Building), now a museum for medical history. The famous writer Marieluise Fleißer wrote Pioniere in Ingolstadt in 1928.
