Nathan Burns

Started and played 70 minutes for AEK overnight and won the penalty for the first goal in their 3-1 win over Hajduk Split in the UEFA Europa League.
"The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes, that's a fact. Everything else is pure theory."

Agree about Burns, but I hardly think 'Djitewatch' is necessary anymore given that he's playing for another HAL club.

Good on him,

Just another young promising player for the future that we supposedly lack.

I dont understand when people havnt heard of a certain player for a while it means they have been a flop. The guy has clearly put the hard yards in there and its paid off for him

He is a good example of commitment - thought he had it made here in the HAL before moving to Greece and discovering that he should have been working twice as hard. Got himself stuck in and made the best of every opportunity he created for himself and is now playing first XI football. Well done Nathan!

Troisi is another player who has done well. If it wasn't for an untimely injury I think we would have seen him in the Green and Gold for Doha

Hopefully he keeps it up. Would deserve selection if he does.

One thing I'm worried about is whether he would fit into a team with Cahill, Culina, etc. I don't know if they'd exactly gel.

He has 36 min to shine. if they lose they are out of Europa.

The commentator on ITV mentioned Adelaide United

Rosina Goal for Zenit. Sweet placement corner of the box.

Defence gave him too much room

3rd for Zenit - Denisov
They are good. No more Burns in Europa.

He did look very bright when on the ball, but hit the turf a little too easy.

Did he look like he fit in? Like was he at 'the level'?

yeah he did fit in. Shame he didn't start.

There was another good midfielder Ignacio Scoco

but AEK striker Blanco had a Shocker... missed a penalty 3 min later Zenit got the 1st.
