Saw the first half, have a soft spot for Birmingham City due to the Rangers connection.

Should have been 2-0 before Villa equalised!

I thought we deserved it. Created some great chances in the first half, if Zigic and Jerome weren't such donkeys we'd have been 3-0 up. Should have been 2-0 up if the ref hadn't ridiculously disallowed that goal for Offside. Ridgewell wasn't interfering with play when Friedel spilled the ball over the line. The goal that Agbonlahor scored was offside and yet they didn't spot that one. Zigic's goal was a bit lucky with the deflection, but who cares, the scum got turned over & that's what counts. Shame about the scenes at the end, but there is no bigger derby in England, and sometimes it boils over.

Disgraceful behaviour at the end of a fantastic game

A bit of nothing really, I've got no problem with the pitch invasion that's fine as far as I'm concerned, obviously the violence and stadium destruction can be done without but that was minimal compared with other incidents. I doubt the 'trouble' would have got the same coverage had the World Cup announcement not have been so close.

In my expeirences (I'm not saying it's the case here) football violence and disorder is often aggravated by agressive Police and Stewards or simply the both of them not doing their jobs properly, one such example being a Milwall fan holding up a Turkey flag at game against Leeds (at the Den), said fan should have been ejected straight away but he wasn't and continued to taunt Leeds fans so ended up with a plastic chair in his face which was ripped out and thrown from the Leeds supporters area, only then was the said fan ejected (the Leeds supporter was not).

Tl;Dr: Leeds and Milwall in football violence shocker.

Throwing flares into a crowd of people in my opinion is disgraceful. Commentator in the match this morning described it as 'criminal' and I can't say I disagree.

I don't want to play tit for tit (but I'm going to anyway).

The flares were thrown from the Viler end into the Blues Family Stand, and then returned until it resembled flare tennis.

What possesses someone to throw a flare into a Family Stand I have no idea ...

Guardian and ESPN reporting the first flare came from the Birmingham fans in the Kop into the Villa fans.

My mates at the game and Five Live gave the version I gave.

I know who I believe ...

Why let the truth get in the road of a good story?

Birmingham City fans are perceived to be hooligan scum bags so why would the media report Villa fans throwing the first flare?
