El Clasico - 29/11/2010

Barcelona hosts Madrid in the first instalment of the El Clasico of the 2010/11 La Liga season.

On paper, there's nothing in it between the two clubs this season, and on the field, both teams have just come out of big wins over Almeria (0-8), and Athletic Bilbao (5-1) respectively.

So who will win? I'm biased towards a Barca win, but in reality there's no splitting these two.

Sorry RU, Messilona is not going to win the league - even if they do win this game!

5-0 to Barcelona.
And as I write Ramos gets a straight red for an ugly hack foul on Messi and a shove in the face of Puyol for good measure!
The lad lost it.

peep,peep, peep!

all over

Wow, a shitty time to watch football in Cambodia (got up at 4am to catch the second half) however what a football clinic put on by Barcelona. I still find Puyol bit of a primadonna, however watching Alonso & Messi weave their magic was truly worth getting up for.

what a game. the worst loss mourinha has had to suffer as a coach. previously it was 3-0. this time 5-0 and by barcelona just to add salt to the wound.
i dont think this will change much in terms of the title though. still 25 games left.
but again... wow... what a performance. madrid couldn't keep the ball for longer than 3/4 passes.

Total master class. Madrid need to learn to play the ball, and not the player.

And still, Messi hasn't scored against Mourinho's men...

Messilona? Are you suggesting that Barcelona are a 1 man team?
:?

Jeffren's late goal made little difference, but it made all the difference. Madrid were already being humiliated. José Mourinho, already suffering his worst ever defeat as a coach, felt "impotent", barely moving as fans chanted for him to "come out the dugout! José, come out the dugout!" It was already 4-0 and into additional time and Almería's Henok Goitom, thrashed 8-0 by Barcelona last weekend, had long-since noted: "I know how you feel: you just want the game to finish." But the game had not finished, not yet. The fifth goal had to arrive and when it did, it mattered. It turned a baño – a bath, a drubbing – into a manita, a little hand. A goal for every finger. The most perfect of beatings.

downloaded a torrent of this game, haven't watched it all yet but seems decent quality from the lil glimpse i did see.

From all the reports it will be an enjoyable viewing when i get round to it.
