Another decent hit-out by Nestory in the final friendly for Bayern Munich (against WSG Tirol). Came on for the second half and looked dangerous, setting up the third goal with some good work which provided the assist.

He appears very much in the plans for this coming Bundesliga season.
Looking good!

In the snippets we get to see, Irankunda doesn't look out of place at all.
His speed. His composure. His team work (when he could have been excused for shooting himself). Excellent!
I imagine he must be buzzing.

Score 2, assist 2. Walk in the park for him.
Hopefully, Bayern were just getting some more minutes into his legs. (Rather than him not being in their plans for this season.)

With how out of control high level fixtures have become with the Club World Cup and UEFA CL both being heavily expanded this season. You'd say there is every chance he's going to feature for the first team should this scoring form continue.

Nestrory Irankunda to GC Zurich

https://www.gcz.ch/
He is on loan till summer 2025.
Grasshopper Club Zurich is pleased to announce the transfer of right winger Nestory Irankunda. The 18-year-old Australian international is moving from FC Bayern Munich to GC Zurich on loan until summer 2025.

The Tanzanian-born player impressed in the Regionalliga Bayern with four goals and four assists in his debut season. Irankunda began his career at Adelaide United, where he initially played in the U21s and later in the first team. After being named best young player of the year in the 2023 A-League, he made his first appearances for the Australian senior national team. In the UEFA Youth League, he played three times for the Munich U19s and scored one goal.

Sporting director Stephan Schwarz: "Nestory Irankunda is a young and exciting offensive talent who will liven up the offense with his dynamism and skills."

Nestory Irankunda: “This is a great opportunity for me to further my development in the highest Swiss league. I am very happy to be at GC Zurich.”

The Grasshopper Club Zurich wishes Nestory Irankunda every success and looks forward to working with him.

Nestrory played in a Friendly between Sturm Graz and Grasshopper Club Zurich which ended 1 nil to the visitors.

He played on the left till the 70min.

I found this site when I was looking to see if Nestory had played in the friendly in Graz.

https://www.sofascore.com/player/nestor ... da/1144687

There is also an A-league page,

And of course an AU page.

LoL, another site filled with football stats and graphs and stuff ...

Grasshoppers 0-0 Young Boys
48min

Irankunda is playing on the right of a 4 man midfield.
According to Flashscore he has a 6.4 rating.

I'm listening to Young Boys Radio in Swiss German.
The two lads are getting excited and I understand some of it but the Swiss Dialect is a beauty.

FARK, Nestory missed a penalty just before I started listening at the 48min mark.

NO, he did not miss the penalty, he won the penalty and Bojang saw his penalty saved.

Grasshoppers 0-0 Young Boys
62min

Grasshoppers 0-0 Young Boys
82min

Irankunda substituted at 76min.

Nestory Irankunda played 86min in Grasshopers' 2-2 draw against Lausanne making the assist to one all in the 64th minute.
We was rated 7.2 in a team average of 6.9.

Grasshoppers are 10th in a 12 team league.
Relegation struggle.

Nestory Irankunda played the assist at 7min and was subbed at 36min and so far I have no idea why.
Hopefully he was not injured.
The report here makes no reference to his substitution.

https://www.gcz.ch/news/artikel/17/unen ... -tessin-1/

The game finished FC Lugano 1-1 GC Zürich

According to the report on Sport 1 Nestory Irankunda ( Bayern's jewel) impressively sprinted half the pitch with the ball and then laid off the ball for Maurin to score Grasshoppers' only goal at 7minutes.
He later pulled up after a sprint with a calf problem at the 36min mark and was taken off.
