No worries! I should probably also add that the director of football also says they still have faith in his potential. Paul Onuachu has been a great player for them this season. He's a little older than Mabil and spent last in the Danish 1st division on a loan deal, so there's a precedent there.

should have been loaned back to us in the first place imo. a further season or two starting every week would've been more beneficial... still way too raw to be playing at a higher level than the a-league.

Yeah totally agree. I really want to see all HAL clubs focus on keeping their young talent longer.

Yeah, how we stop young talent leaving too soon is a big question. There almost needs to be a reverse marquee system, where we can top up the salary of a young player with Euro clubs making an offer.

Somehow we need to balance their opportunity to play, and to earn more, with what's best for their development, and the A League and the Socceroos as well.

Potential talent like Mabil, Burns and Djite, even a guy like Langerak are examples to look at.

If they are getting a game or so a week down there, then they should stay and play.
There are more than enough unemployed footballers up here.

Maybe if the young players listened more to their coaches than their agents...

Just thought I should add that he's been in the match day squad for the last couple of games now and made an appearance in the last 10 minutes of their last superliga game. Maybe the coach has different ideas than the director of football. Wouldn't be the first time that happened at FCM...

Mabil in the match day squad against AGF again today. Starting on the bench. That's the third Superliga game in a row now and he came off the bench and played a bit in the last 2.

Injuries along offensive players has paved the way for Awer being closer to (and in) the match day squad recently. That is probably the reason...

Thanks for the updates guys!

I would love to see him come back to AUFC for a loan to get some more first team football under his belt. He's just the player the club is missing at the moment.

Sent off in the 44th minute for his new squad.

Not a good start...

If the video shows everything that happeded then it is a joke of a red card, just a bit of a pushing off the ball. There is worse at almost every corner in every match in the world. It seemed like the other player was the instigator yet they only got a yellow card. Hopefully the coach sees it the same way and it does not hurt his chances for game time.

What should be more worrying is it looks like it was Mabil who was tracking Amini when Amini got his free header for goal.

The red card was ridiculous. Martin Spelman is a hack and if anyone should have been shown a card, it should have been him. Mabil did good until he was showed out.

Awer banged in the last goal of the match to seal the title for Midtjylland. He's bagged 8 for the season with four games to go.
