We lost to Vietnam in the first game , 1-0, however came back with a good game against Iran, winning 2-3.

Vietnam lead the group with 6 points and +2 goal difference whilst Australia & Iran are tied on 3 points each, Australia ahead due to the head-to-head result.

We need a win tonight against bottom placed Qatar (lost their two games thus far) to guarantee progression.

Bernado played c. 70 mins and scored a brace.

Yull came off the bench and also scored.

Madanha started as well.

Great experience for AU fringe players.

Excited for Bernado to get more minutes with us in the back-end of the season.

Bernardo assisting Raphael was a nice moment too. Bet they had done that in the backyard more than a few times I know the club have tried a few times but it'd be great to get Raphael to the club too, he looks a talent.

We snuck though on head-to-head goal difference. It ended Iran +1. Australia 0, Vietnam -1.

Next we face hosts Uzbekistan in the Quarterfinal on the 11th of March.
