AFC Champions League
So all A-League sides have pulled out due to the finals series being run at the same time. Just another parting gift for the heroes at Fox Sports sitting on their hands for weeks while to game waited to get the season started.

Re: AFC Champions League 2021
Considering the cream of the crop is off on Socceroos duty. Maybe calling off the finals would have been a choice? Maybe test the waters towards doing away with the finals all together so we focus more on the club with the most points after an entire season being the best side.I am not looking forward to the fall-out from this.

Re: AFC Champions League
Looks like Sydney are showing their usual fortitude in Asia with Muscat's Yokohama FC defeating them 3-0 despite going down to 10 men. They are bottom of the group with 2 points from 4 games. Sydney really do come across as flat-track bullies.
Melbourne City on the other hand are looking solid. They have 8 points from their 4 games and are facing top side BG Pathum Utd from Thailand tomorrow . A win would leave them top of the group and with only bottom side United City still to face.
The Chinese sides have reflected the dramatic collapse of Chinese domestic football with Guangzhou Evergrande and Shandong Lueng both playing essentially youth sides and being towelled by all and sundry as a result.

Re: AFC Champions League
Draw from Melbourne City with BG Pathum leaves them still needing a win to guarantee a spot in the final, however it is against group whipping boys City United.

Yes, all the way to penalties with Ulsan after going to 10-men in the first half. Quite a win.Well done Harry!
Yokohama FC host the first leg of the final against Al Ain on May 11. Should be a cracker.
