Brisbane spanked Global last night, 6-0, no real surprises there.

In our group Bangkok United and Johor Darul Ta'zim went to penalties with the Malaysians coming out on top. It's hard to see them getting past Gamba Osaka next week.
I'm looking forward to Gamba coming to town again.
Im looking forward to the gamba fans, i think there is a bit of mutual admiration from both sets of fans.

Also excited to see endo in the flesh again

Gamba play Johor Darul Ta'zim tonight and the winner goes thru to AU's group.

Brisbane play Carlos Tevez's Shanghai Shenhua tomorrow night.

Gamba are comfortably through with a 3-0 win. Ulsan are lucky lads though, being taken all the way to penalties by Kitchee.

For a bit of nostalgia some will be pleased to note Bunyodkor traveled to Qatar and beat El Jaish in another game that went to penalties.

Its a little sad that the only way AU can play them again is if both sides make the final.

Very much so. We were building a health rivalry with Bunyodkor. Sadly I can't see the West-East Asia split being brought further back into the competition for as long as the East Asians are dominant on the field.

Besides never playing Bunyodkor again. I'm more than happy to see the divide increase.

Watching this is getting me so pumped for AUs ACL. I just love the excitement and value of an away goal. Reminds me of games gone past in places like Pohang and Tashkent.

There should only be one team in the Asian CHAMPIONS League and that is the CHAMPIONS. Brisbane do not deserve to be there, they are the champions of nothing. We did not deserve a chance last season, that is why I am glad we lost that playoff.
It is a disgrace that WSW were allowed to win the competition even though they were champions of nothing.
KEEP THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FOR TRUE CHAMPIONS NOT PRETENDERS.

All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

I'm certainly not confident either, but the last two ACL campaigns where the club progressed past the group stage. I recall the club not exactly flying high at time domestically.
It's not something to bank on but domestic form doesn't always translate to ACL form. As the high flying Brisbane showed a while ago.

We should have ahead start on fitness but that's about it.

Can't see us putting any balls in the back of the net.

We'd need to find the penalty area before we can find the net.
