The battle for Chinese supremacy! Amazing scores!Wow. Quarterfinals at the ACL and Guangzhou Evergrande overcame a 4-0 away loss to finish 4-0 up at the end of normal time. It went to extra time where both sides scored a goal, leaving it 5-5 (away goals not counting in extra-time). Hence it was off to penalties where Shanghai SIPG finally came through as winners.
Out West it was a big away win for Perspepolis, 1-3, that saw them proceed against Al Ahli with a 5-3 aggregate. They will meet Al Hilal who defeated Al Ain 3-0 on aggregate.
The final game Uruwa v Kawasaki (currenly 1 - 3) is being played tonight.

Been an interesting game in Japan. Looking forward to the 2nd half (1-1 at the moment with Kawasaki ahead 2 on aggregate but down a man due to a straight red).

Kawasaki opted to bring on defenders and sit craqzily deep for an entire half. Result, they lost 4-1.Been an interesting game in Japan. Looking forward to the 2nd half (1-1 at the moment with Kawasaki ahead 2 on aggregate but down a man due to a straight red).

Re: 2017 Asian Champions League
1st Leg of the Semis tonight and tomorrow night. First off is Al-Hilal v Persepolis followed by Shanghai SIPG v Urawa Reds.
I am not sure why, but I am going for Persepolis in this one despite Al-Hilal's pedigree.

Al-Hilal spanked Persepolis 4-0
It makes the return leg a tough ask.

Al Hilal were held to a 1-1 draw by Urawa Reds, who will be confident going into the final leg in Saitama this Saturday.

Re: 2017 Asian Champions League
1-0 to Urawa and they are the 2017 Asian Champions. Al-Hilal looked really good but were rather undisciplined with some well-deserved yellows that culminated into a red for one of their players at 77'.
Well done the the Japanese. Hopefully the Australian sides show a little more mettle in 2018.
