Its harder to show interest now that AU are out!

But rivalries aside HAL sides winning in Asia is good for the game in Australia so I'd rather see HAL sides do well.
MV 2-1 Shanghai SIPG

Amazing to see Jai Ingham score, a guy that was signed on the back of a good NPL season in Victoria. IMO it just goes to show that there is a lot of quality out there and if those players are offered a professional training environment they may make the jump to the next level.

I'm not sure if I'm happy or not to see Shandong so well? But they are so far.

SFC play Guangzhou Evergrande and MV play away from Gamba Osaka.
Just looking at the fixtures if I'm free I'm tempted to go see MV play Gamba when they are in Melbourne, I'll wear my AU kit and sit near or with the Gamba fans! :D

Shows how good we are :P Really should have won that game but it still might help us qualify for next year *fingers crossed*.

Yeah it would be much nicer to qualify properly so the club can make proper plans over two transfer windows. Selling the fact they have ACL football could be a lure as well.

There have been a couple of good games on the box. FC Seoul are looking irresistable at this early stage.

A ncie away win by Sydney against our old bunnies, Pohang.

A few interesting bits from Match Day 3. Al Ittihad had another loss and half-way through find themselves at the bottom of Group A with 2 points

Group D has Al Jaish with 9 points at the other 3 tied on points, goal difference, number of goals and head to head!

FC Seoul spanked Shandong Luneng 1-4 which has given Hiroshima a sniff in Group F

Victory missed a good chance to go top of the group with their 0-0 draw with bottom side Suwong. They may come to rue that match.

Sydney top Group H with 6 points whilst Guangzhou Evergrande hold up the bottom with 2 points......is it International Upside-down Day today?

Sydney with a third straight acl win. Should progress to the next stage now.

5k showing up is disgraceful. The self-appointed biggest club in the HAL needs to lift it's game desperately.
I don't know how anyone involved with SFC can say Sydney doesn't need another club with a straight face. Getting to the stadium is a massive pain unless you're willing to drive in terrible traffic.

SFC and MV both thru to the knock out stage. Wonderful to see two Australian clubs thru for the first time.
Goes to show what taking you're foot off the peddle in the HAL can do.
MV now take on Jeonbuk while SFC play Shandong.

I watched the MV - Gamba game last night and Victory looked pretty comfortable. They are really going to miss Barbarouses next year.

He's a visa player. He's been very good of late but personally I feel they can replace him.

Watching the ACL now and Maeda scores while I type! 0-2 for FC Tokyo with Nathan Burns playing well (though skied a shot he should have put on goal).

Looks like FC Tokyo are going through though it is a 3 way tussle for the last 2 spots so all drama in this group (I think Jiangsu just went one up against Jeonbuk which puts the Koreans in trouble).

Should have read this before making myself look even more dumb! :D

So Victory knocked out by Jeonbuk.
I have to laugh with the reports saying "Archie's farewell spoilt but Jeonbuk." He missed an absolute sitter from 4 yards out at the start of the game.
I think someone else ruined their own farewell!
