An event that we've partaken in before, and it is on once again.
Guangzhou have managed to beat Club America (Mexico) 1-2 with a strike in the last minute of injury time and Sanfrecce Hiroshima made light work of TP Mazembe (Congo) winning 0-3 having earlier beaten Auckland 2-0.
Next up in the semis Guangzhou take on Barcelona whilst Sanfrecce face River Plate in a game they could well win.

Re: Club World Cup
No idea, ref's hand went to the pocket.
A cracking game in the end and when Kashima had the poster in extra-time when 3-2 down I thought they may be able to pull it off.
Not a boring game at all!

Re: Club World Cup
I was watching the game on the foxsports broadcast and the english commentator kept saying how kashima were playig the game of their life and that they would just be happy to be involved.
I felt this was incredibly harsh on the japanese and asian football. The fact is real madrid would probably decimate any epl club on its day and generally even clubs not in the top 6 of la liga.
I think the world may have missed the memo a few years back that asian football has well and truly arrived.

Re: Club World Cup
Agreed. They played well though missed quite a few short passes and were often not on the same sheet in the box. In all I've seen Kashima play far better.I was watching the game on the foxsports broadcast and the english commentator kept saying how kashima were playig the game of their life and that they would just be happy to be involved.
