Hopefully they see his Athletico and Villareal form and not his Man Utd and Inter form!

Said it before and I'll say it again ..... The next 50 years is Asia's ! A few billion people are coming out of near poverty and demanding middle class luxuries.

Europe is a financial joke.

The history of the euro clubs mean sweet diddly if the money is in Asia. I don't care what people say about about euro leagues will always reign supreme, money talks!!

I think we may find the club World Cup will become very prestigious in the future.

What's going to happen to the euro clubs annual turn over when the lucrative Asian market no longer cares about the liverpools, barca and inter because their local clubs have the same quality of players on the pitch.

Let's hope we get dragged along for the ride
Ppl who slap the label of truth on the 1st thing they hear, do it out of ignorance, convenience or cant be bothered picking through a thin layer of falsehood to find the real truth, or possibly even another lie

Couldn't agree more. Does anyone really think players play in places like Manchester because they respect the history of the club?
I feel Australia is in a great position to go along for the ride. Not just in footballing terms but I feel football is a perfect vehicle to bring Australia and the rest of Asia together. One thing I'm really hopeful for about the Asian Cup is that it will bring Asian business to Australia and Australian business and government will wake up to this fact.
