So Brissy have their qualifier on the 13th V Buriram United should be a interesting result. Tough assignment given its just away but you would think Brissy should have too much quality. But thats what everyone said about Brisbane last campaign!
It will be very interesting to see if both CCM and Brissy have learnt from their previous campaign.

Group G is interesting. Replace Beijing Guoan with AU and you get a ton of memories.

I still think CCM should just surrender their spot to us. Or Brisbane if they lose their playoff.

Congrats on the 5000th post Stuckey! 5000 - postcode of Adelaide, it's a sign ;)

I watched Buriram last season and they performed very well, especially on the road where they had some great traveling support.

Group H looks nasty.

Thats right Buriram almost made it thru what many considered the group of death! They beat Jeonbuk and Reysol on the road and a last minute Conca penalty saw the narrowly miss taking points off the mighty Evergrande!
Definately no walk in the park from Brissy! Shows how lucky we where to draw Persipura!

I think the Mariners will do a lot better this year, Brisbane on the other hand I doubt very much.

Although I love AUFC being the outstanding club in the ACL it is becoming a bit of a joke that we're the only club get win games in Asia. Yeah I think one of these sides need to make it thru to the next round or AFC will take another spot away from us, and rightly so!

I reckon they should just bugger the rest of the HAL and give it to AU every year!

0-0 at HT Brisbane playing their standard slow build up to nothing ACL form.

0-0 FT we're in extra time now. I think if Brissy are going to play this bad in the qualifier there's not much point in them being in the ACL proper.

0-0 end of Extra time. We're going to penalties.

So Brissy bomb out!

Lose the shootout 3-0 shock penalties there!
Does that justify the AFC taking one of our automatic spots away? IMO yes.

perhaps if they weren't desperate to placate a certain region of "west asia" that they start cannibalising the eastern half of the draw you would have a point.

Well the draw is split in half there is no doubt there. Whether that is fair or not is debatable. IMO the West is a lower standard but there is certainly money!

The draw isn't split in half there though. Why are Bunyodkor in the East but the rest of the Uzbek teams (all from Tashkent) not?

Oh I missed that. Well except for that its split I think.
Maybe Bunyodkor rather be part of the East? I know I would!
