Al Shabab claim Michael Owen deal is close

The club announced on Twitter that they have opened negotiations with the 32-year-old, who is available on a free transfer following his release from Manchester United

He is such a risk IMO. I think his record for Man U is like 19 goals in around 50 matches. Which is nothing to sneeze at but I'm sure a fair few of those came in Carling Cup matches!

The Bahraini, Kuwaiti, UAE or Saudi version of Al Shabab? I am assuming the UAE version as the first two probably don't have the cash and the Saudi version doesn't sound like much fun.

Why don't these clubs come up with original names? I thought have 5 United's in a league was bad!

1 goal every 2.5 in the EPL is a great record, what are you talking about?!

And I bet a lot of those appearances were as substitutes...

Should be very good at that level.

What I'm saying is that many of those goals weren't at EPL level. Still I agree will dominate almost anywhere IMO as long as he's fit.
