YAKUBU is set to land a bumper £5m-a-year move to China.

Nigerian striker Yak, 29, has quit relegated Blackburn and will join Guangzhou R&F this week.

Club vice president Lu Yi said: “It’s 99 per cent done.”

Guangzhou are making a play for the ACL. It will all go horribly wrong if they don't have the supporting cast of Chinese.

The term, "Bunyodkor", comes to mind (Bunyodkor of old, that is)

maybe next year... he's not able to play in the current acl though. any player registered to play in the acl must have a contract with the club of a minimum 6 month term.

He will be able to play as clubs can re submit their playing list after the round of 16 .

The 6 month rule means short term contracted players cannot play, but new players with a long term contract can,

Think about it , in 2007 we put many new players in at the round of 16

Well, he won't because R&F aren't in this year's ACL...

Incidentally, that is the same club Rostyn Griffiths plays at.
