Borussia Dortmund ace Shinji Kagawa has dropped the bombshell that he expects to sign for Manchester United at the end of the season.

Kagawa has revealed on Japanese television he will be making the historic move to Old Trafford after the German Cup final.

He told TV Osaka: "May 12 I'll play my last game for Dortmund and then begin a new chapter at Manchester United."

Great signing and great news for Asian football. Especially Japan. This generation is coming on in leaps and bounds. IMO top spot in Asia (as far as the FIFA rankings go) is their's for the taking.

Damn, I am not sure that is the best move for him. Still, he is an amazing player so good luck to him.

EDIT: Fake quotes have been spread across the internet. Kagawa has made no decisions as yet. I was wondering why I had not seen it anywhere....

Well he's linked with a move to them anyway.

true, and Ferguson was at the Cup final watching Kagawa open the scoring and more or less run rings around Bayern.

You can really see the type of player Fergie likes now. As one of his assistants are quoted saying they would never sign a Mario Balotelli. He likes hard working respectful players. I see a few Japanese players fitting that bill. A few Aussies too. (pity none have the skill required!)
