ACL Group Stage - Day 2

Postby blahblah Fri Mar 23, 2012 11:31 am

Another day faced, another good day for the A-League and a great one for Adelaide.

After two days one can read too much into the tables, it is still early. However there is one story emerging and that is of the remarkable form of Buriram United.

The Thai outfit shocked many with the 3-2 win in Thailand against Kashiwa Reysol. There were mitigating factors, the hot season in Thailand, Kashiwa having no prior experience traveling etc. Even still it was one hell of an effort.

However the 1-2 away win against Guangzhou Evergrande is simply astounding. This is the same outfit that took apart Jeonbuk Motors 1-5 in Korea on day 1.

Buriram host the beleaguered Koreans on Day 3, and many will be watching with interest.

It's not that far from Cambodia....... maybe it's time to check the flight schedules :)

Anyone know the possibilities of the draw? Is there anyway we can meet Buriram in the next round?

I fancy a trip to Thailand... I need some new suits tailored!

How much would that suck. Get thru to the next round only to be knocked out by another Aussie club. It seems our country is the only one who knows how to beat us!
Time to Djbate!
