J-League 2012
The J-League kicked off yesterday and I am happy to say we had it in Cambodia via NHK who aired the Sendai vs Kashima match; and a cracker it was with the boys from Tohoku (Sendai) taking the spoils.
Josh Kennedy scored from the spot to get his account underway in Nagoya's win.
Most relevant to us though is Gamba Osaka who lost 2-3 at home to Vissel Kobe. I didn't get to see the game however it will be a morale sapping loss following their pummeling in the ACL .
FC Tokyo had a great 0-1 win away at Omiya. They are back, they are angry and they are looking to do a Kashiwa Reysol on the 2012 version of the J-League.

90'+4 Kempes
full time
cerezo snatch the three points in stoppage time.
gamba have now lost the opening 2 games of the season. that's 3 losses in a row (including the pohang game)

Re: J-League 2012
First J-League casualty for the season is one Jose Carlos Serrao, coach of Gamba Osaka, who is being replaced by Katsushi Kajii.
It appears that 5 defeats in the ACL and J-League isn't a part of the Osaka outfit's master plan after all.
It is a pity as I was kind of hoping he'd be around for our return match

Re: J-League 2012
Uruwa reds are having something of a run after their opening day loss. The form of FC Tokyo, who just overran the Kawasaki mob on the weekend in the Tamagawa derby, is also looking good and no doubt the clash between the two will be a cracker. Sort of the J-League's version of Port vs Norwood.

Re: J-League 2012
The J-League still looks as confusing as ever with Gamba struggling over Golden Week. They've only managed 2 wins out of 10 outings thus far and only the chilly lads from Sapporo sit below them on the table.
Aoyama scored a goal for Hiroshima that needs to be seen to be believed
And meanwhile down South V-Varen Nagasaki have clambered up to 3rd in the JFL!

Sweet Jesus, would've killed the keeper if he touched it. Very Alex like free kick.
