Re: Shinji Okazaki
There was an issue with S-Pulse getting all upset because Stuttgart announced the transfer on the last day of the transfer window but the contract came into affect on the 5th (I think). S-Pulse then wanted Stuttgart to pay for an extra day of his contract. It was rather petulant from S-Pulse and delayed Okazaki's debut. Stuttgart threatened to take it to FIFA and S-Pulse backed down.... at least that's my understanding. Regardless he had a hit out with Stuttgart a day or two ago though I don't know how he went.

It's ironic when you consider this is the club that just signed... Alex Brosque!

He's played in Europe already for VfB, but has his work cut out in the Bundesliga where they're struggling.

Why, because Sydney were being massive douches and not understanding FIFA contract laws? It's ironic when you consider this is the club that just signed... Alex Brosque!
In that case, yeah, it's kind of similar. But Shimizu are, I think, kind of more confused on the matter than anything else. Especially with all the recent discussion going around about (to quote a friend) "zero yen transfers" between Japanese clubs and when going overseas. Kind of like, "Oh crap, maybe this was the right thing to do. I don't know. Oh crap. What can we do now?"
