The game is afoot!“Everybody is going to accuse us today as corrupted people because maybe people see Mr Blatter has stayed a long time in FIFA,”
“Thirty-five years in one organisation is quite long time. No matter how clean you are, honest or how correct you are, still people will attack you. You are going to be defenceless. That is why I believe change is the best thing for the organisation."

Re: Bin Hammam for FIFA
Bin Hammam seems quite the powermonger...
Still, it would probably be a good thing for Asia as a confederation if he gets the top job. And I dare say world football would be better off without Blatter.
Who would be in the running for the top job in Asia then I wonder?

Re: Bin Hammam for FIFA
A very interesting question indeed. Perhaps we got it wrong and Bin Hammam is angling for Blatter's seat and is positioning a Korean/Chinese/Japanese to take his place, hence the Jordanian Prince's move. He couldn't leave with Dr Chung Mong-Joon as Vice President because he would move in as President of the AFC, leaving Bin Hammam with a hostile home confederation (though Chung Mong-Joon was probably Blatter's biggest threat at the time).Who would be in the running for the top job in Asia then I wonder?
I suspect Bin Hammam would have rather enjoyed himself in the princely state of Florence.

Blatter won't go without a fight.
This is going to get ugly.
