Kezman joins Butt in Hong Kong

Hong Kong club South China has followed up its signing of Nicky Butt with the capture of former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman.
With the kind of money they seem to be throwing around i'm just glad they're looking to Europe and not here!

I just can't help think China can't make it through the first round of the Asian Cup but clubs have this kind of cash to spend of foreign players.

Ever heard of a little thing called youth development?

South China's a Hong Kong club, dude. Hong Kong businesses have lots of money. South China is owned by the owner of a large entertainment company. South China are also recently the dominant force in the Hong Kong First Division. Butt and Kezman aren't exactly young and spritely current stars, either.

Hong Kong, believe it or not, used to be a respectable player in Asian football. And they once attracted BIG names to their league. This fell apart by the 90s, though.

HK football has seen a bit of a revival in the last few years, a few good talents have come through the ranks.
