Apparently 34 year old Brazilian Striker Marquinhos is leaving Kashima Antlers soon.
He has an amazing record in the J-league would he be a player AU would consider? I could see his salary coming down with hios age.
I reckon a loan during the ACL (if we make it) would be good.

Re: Marquinhos set to leave Kashima
Do you know if he's leaving Kashima to continue his career or if he is retiring? He was very popular as a personality in Japan and could well continue a role in football there in coaching or some such if he so desired.

The story was on Tribal football if you want to check it out.

He's already gone back to Brazil, is looking for a team over there to play next season.
We don't need him. He's rubbish now.

I think we have learnt our lesson with the signing up of approaching retirement age strikers by now?
