Quite a bit of spite in that match by the end. It did feel like WU lacked discipline and eventually the wheels fell off. I’m going to call out Risdon Donachie Penha and Ruhs for walking the wrong side of the line, which can’t help the team. Imai was ok until he gave the Pen and put his hand up to Kitto’s throat, and Thurgate was quite combative but not excessive. Is it Aloisi? Does he foster teams like this? Is it because it’s a homeless soulless club wandering the western reaches of outer Melbourne with shit colours and a rag tag bunch of journeymen beeneverywhereelsers in its squad. All of the above b

On our side, 3 moments of magic from Nestory. He also copped a yellow card that you could argue was a 50/50 challenge, but I loved how he just calmly walked away. One of the WU players was trying to get him to react but he didn’t. Also, before the game he sprinted to the Red Army and clapped them - note for those who say he is arrogant etc. There was none of that tonight. 3 goals and a mature display.

Clough needs to do better with his shooting. Could have had 3 or 4 but can’t hit the target.

Javi at CB was solid and Harry good enough at RB. Still love seeing Bova there though.

Isa had a so so night with some missed passes but all in all was very strong, as was Alagich.

Hiro was a fantastic target and hold up man but clearly ran out of steam.

The game was done by the 80 minute mark so the subs had a longer run than usual.
