Game over.
Frustrating game but with more positives than negatives for me.

Macarthur came here with a game plan and it worked - defend and counter.

Thought there was only one team out there trying to attack tonight but we just didn't have the quality to finish.

Irankunda lively but needs to stop shooting on sight, Tunnicliffe looks lazy or unfit. Rest of the team huffed and puffed with little end product. Thought Kitto and Clough were probably our best.

Glad to see Cavallo back and he was whipping in some nice shaped crosses.

Tough to only get 2 points from 6 at home but we've arrested the run off losses for now.

Sydney away next week will be a crucial game.

Was there no VAR tonight?
Felt like we had a couple of penalty shouts where the ref didn’t even seem to wait for a VAR response.
Plus I thought the ref missed a couple of clear fouls on Irankunda.

Thought we deserved to win on the balance of play, but Macarthur seemed happy to sit back and accept a draw.

We're not creating enough chances and when we do we're not clinical enough. Definitely rued the point blank header miss from Hiroshi.

Nestor did shoot a bit too much but he was frustrated. The ref and VAR had an absolute shocker and seemed to have something in for him. I thought Thursday's ref was poor but this guy was next level. Despite that, he's been the guy to unlock the defence and score the goals we have over the past couple of weeks so that's encouraging.

Thought we lacked creativity as usual and looked rather toothless in attack, especially after Hiroshi went off and we continued to cross to Uscok and Jurman as we had mostly very short players on. Its a bit of a trend that our subs in 2nd half seem to have the team looking worse than without them, which is not the desired outcome but also needs better tactics from CV.

Hiroshi's miss in the 1st half was one of those where you shake your head as was the ref for the full 90, some very questionable decisions but did wonder if Nestor taking a dive in the 1st 5 was then used against him for the rest of the game. But yeah it was very below par from the ref.

The amount of space left from Kitto and bovalina pushing forward is an issue as it leaves so much space for counter attacks and Tunnicliffe and Isa do not have the pace to cover those spaces, leaves us very vulnerable to conceding goals and little surprise that is how they scored. Its entertaining to watch as the games are open , but wont take us far in terms of success or making/winning finals.

Popovic impressed me as did Bovalina with his engine and workrate.
