Duzel is a midfielder. What is he doing playing up as a striker? He’s got fresh legs. Just leaves us with a two man midfield.

My German commentator digging United and looking forward seeing Irankunda in the Bundesliga.

Really could have done without that first 15-20 minutes of the second half.
We completely surrendered the ascendancy built up during the first 45. A better team than the Jets takes advantage and a we get a different game and possibly a different result.
On a positive note, Carl answered some questions raised on here about his tactical know how by changing the formation and solving some of the issues going forward that had appeared in the last couple of matches.
Victory away next week will be a much tougher test, but at least we can go in with some confidence restored.

Was that Jovanovic best game? I think so. Looked dangerous, 2 assists. I don’t see him as a winger but he was a very good wide option tonight. Worked well with Hiro who had a better game too.
Bovalina continues his great season. Love his attacking intent and gets forward and into the midfield in some great positions without opening himself up too much.
Isaias Sanchez Cortez was much better tonight, taking hold of the tempo and breaking up play much more like the man we know. Ok, one poor turnover under pressure resulted in their goal, otherwise good.
Without being spectacular Tunnicliffe had a better game. Starting to find his feet a bit.
I don’t like seeing Clough out wide as he has become such a good option at CAM, but it worked ok tonight. Looked better when he came central in second half.
Substitutions by Veart worked well. Nestory still better as an impact player, but the commentators suggested he and Halloran were on the bench for disciplinary reasons. Do tell.
Overall the Jets weren’t great and Reds looked better in so many areas, aside from that patch just after halftime. although not a fan of green, I quite liked their away strip, noting the Jets often have an unspectacular wardrobe.
Start filling your buckets of sand for the Victory game next week.

Never going to dominate any team for 90 minutes. Thought we looked comfortable and could have had a few more.
The 4-4-2 gave us much better defensive structure today and I liked the dual DM in Isa and Ryan.
Agree with the sentiment that Jovanovic had his best game. Much better when not a lone striker.
Bovalina also superb.
Praise must go to Carl for changing things up. Perhaps we might see the same lineup next week which I wouldn't mind.
Benny and Nestory off the bench were lethal.
Re Duzel - I'm sure he's playing where he's told to play (up front) with Isa and Ryan behind him.
Well done and great result.

CV was asked in his pre-match presser about the disciplinary rumours. He laughed them off and said he had no idea where they came from.

I'd be surprised if Ben Halloran had disciplinary issues. Strikes me as someone who'd always wait at the pedestrian crossing for the green walking sign.CV was asked in his pre-match presser about the disciplinary rumours. He laughed them off and said he had no idea where they came from.
