This was the problem, not so much the defence. 5 or 6 misplaced passes and a terrible opening 30 where we just couldn't step on the ball. In these times we need the forwards to drop deeper and provide support.

Much better last 15 as they tired and we started to get our passing going. Few nice passages and a well-worker second. If we keep playing like that and stop gifting MAC the ball I think we can win this.

Their high press is troubling us. With them playing such a high press, Bovalina playing high gave no outlet and dragged another Bull back into their midfield, closing more space. On the one occasion he dropped deeper (just back into the fullback spot) it left more room for Popovic to play forward.

2-2 seems fair to me.

Worried that we’ve replaced Isaias with Duzel. Hope it works.
