On paper, this is a routine win for us, but we have the unfortunate habit of dropping matches to teams below us that we really ought to win. If we do win and MC Petrodollars contrives to lose against CCM, then the title will remain open for at least one more round.

Can’t see us finishing higher than second, MC’s money has bought them the title again. But I would like to see them grab a 1-0 win over CCM and kill off their aspirations of climbing above us.
None of our final games are going to be pushovers. It’s good that the game is the last one of the weekend. We’ll know where we stand, the sun will come out and the AFL’s Gather Round will be a financial disaster for the SA government. Time to invest in The Reds.

The Gather Round shows that Adelaide can sellout stadiums. It makes the Sydney Grand Final decision even more disappointing.
Not that we had anything to prove after the spectacular 2016 A-league GF turn out.

The APL are as short sighted and self interested as the old FFA. It's difficult to see any benefit to the game on selling the GF - especially as the real benefit to the teams is winning the premiership, with the associated entry into Asia. Yes, I know that they will receive a $20m cheque from the NSW Government, but how much credibility have they lost with the footballing public? I have already decided that if we make any (or all) of those GFs in Sydney, I will boycott them.
It won't make the slightest difference to the APL, but it will make me feel better.
Oh and MC Petrodollars just dropped 2 points against the CCM.
