Veart you dummy...

The most exciting talent the A League has seen in years yet genius Veart continues to leave him on the bench too long today to make any impact. "He's not ready for a full game yet" says Carl! Rubbish, any other team would have him on from the start to inflict as much damage as possible

Put down the bottle mate

Irakunda cannot even run out a half of football, you seem to forget he's a teenager with minimal endurance

Irankunda could probably stand some more minutes by now. But even playing 10 minutes per game he still only participates in ~40% of attacks despite minimal defending. Fitness is a big issue on top of youth.

Wasn't the game for him.

We had none of the ball and needed support in midfield.

100% he is lucky to see out 15 minutes, have a good look at him after a run he is blowing like a hurricane, but it also puts the team under pressure because he doesn’t chase back as hard as he should . Which makes me wonder is he training full time with the team or is he still at school and doing limited training, can someone clear this up for me , cheers

Absolutely spot on. The front line was not the problem; our midfield was being overrun repeatedly from ~ 65 minutes on.

The answer to every problem in a match is NOT "bring on Irankunda!". It's deal with the situation in front of you and react accordingly, which is exactly what CV did.

Like all thr younger player he goes to school as much as he can (Parafield gardens High) - if he misses school due to training, weights or a recovery session - he's expected to make up that study time at night

He's still at school, BPT. He can run like mad for (at most) 20 minutes and then he is blown out. He knows he has to work harder in defence, too, because he does not track back often enough - something that he acknowledged in interviews 2 weeks ago.

The lack of match fitness is why he cannot come on before (earliest) the 70 minute mark.
