This should be a routine win for us, but we have the strange habit of beating times that we have no right to beat, such as MC Petrodollars and then dropping matches against the bottom third teams, such as the Jest. On paper, this should be a walkover, but the Jest have lost their past two matches and they will be keen to make amends.
The Jest is the team that you go to when you can't get a job anywhere else, so it will be interesting to see how Arthur Papas arrays his has beens and kids into a coherent whole. I'd like to see our traditional 4 - 3 - 3 and a high press, to constantly pressure their backline. I don't rate the Jest's frontline at all and their defence is horribly leaky, so a high press should see us two up by the half and then we can just sit back for the second half and hit them on the counter, when they will have to open up the spaces behind their midfield to keep pressing forwards.
Far be it for me to want more defensive instability. But I've no idea how Warland has ended up having a permanent lock on a spot while the other central defenders get shuffled out at the drop of a hat.
