Newcastle Jets 2-4 Adelaide United
Game over.
We score you score and then we send on Irankunda.

Is it this season we don't get a home finals match or is it next?

Great result.
BUT.
We really need to sort ourselves out:
1. Immediately after scoring. We conceded twice within 5 minutes after scoring our second and third tonight.
2. Immediately after half time. We always look shite after the break (tonight was no different) and I think we lead the league for goals conceded in the first 15 after HT.
Fix this up and maybe we can go all the way.
I think the players are starting to believe.

Exciting stuff tonight. Finally move to outright third. Now just need City to drop some points at home to Brisbane. (Hey, almost anything can happen in this league!)

There are a few more games to come. I'd wait until the results don't matter.Irankunda to start next week in Halloran's absence (5 yellows)?
Re: RE: Re: Newcastle Jets v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©
Not yet fit enough. Just managed to run out 45.Irankunda to start next week in Halloran's absence (5 yellows)?
Better option is Alagich to CF, Clough to RW, Irankunda from 60 to terrorise a tired defence.
Bernado, Yull, Madanha all on u20 intl duty. Should have Bernado back for finals.
We lose Irankunda for u17s soon. Better not be over finals. Can anyone confirm?

On the one hand I agree on Irankunda's fitness. Commentators obsess over his defensive efforts, but didn't seem to notice he was too drained to join in ~40% of attacks.
But also he doesn't have to get through 90, only 45-60 to be worthwhile. Plus I think he'd benefit from 10 other first-choice(ish) teammates as much as he does from tired opponents.

Belgian scouts in the stands today watching D'Arrigo. Would be a shame to lose him but he's at a good age to test himself overseas.

I was thinking D'Arrigo and Barnett to play as double sixers in the near future.

D ‘arrigo went to 10 for a short stint when Clough went off, before going off himself. Alagich was at 9 for that period. Barnett filled in D’Arrigos spot and went to either 8 or double 6 with isa. I really like Barnett. Lots of energy.Oh no.Belgian scouts in the stands today watching D'Arrigo. Would be a shame to lose him but he's at a good age to test himself overseas.

Not sure where Duzel went when he replaced D’Arrigo. I didn’t pay attention from then.
