Armiento. Commentators said former Perth player, but he did first play with AUFC didn’t he?

Yes, starting at Adelaide City.

And as I write we give a penalty away.

Lopez ...

Brisbane Roar 1-1 Adelaide United

Game over.
We certainly let that one get away.

Javi and Isa usually the cool heads are our undoing.

Had enough chances to win that 2 or 3 nil.

Disappointing result on balance of play but a point on the road with all our outs is a pass mark.

For all his experience Lopez makes some dumb arsed decisions sometimes. Repeatedly holds on to the ball too long and gets caught in possession. He just about balances it out with some of his positive contributions but he definitely cost us 2 points in this one. No reason to make a challenge there at all, just jockey him ffs.

Tired legs, first game back after a break, down to 10 men, etc - no excuse, it was a really bad mistake - but let’s not get carried away.
Lopez is one of the best players in his position in the league.

I feel like Isiais and and Javi could have both let their men through, Brisbane weren't doing anything worrying all game so not sure we needed to commit any silly fouls like that. Disappointing to drop 2 points but glad it wasn't a loss. Like every 1st game of the new season every team looks very rusty, the first game back from the break is no exception.

Lopez is one of the best players in his position in the league.

It's not an isolated incident though. For all the nice touches and the extra dimension he can add going forward he has had some dodgy moments defensively. Hangs on to the ball too long or tries the more difficult pass way too much.

Pretty sure Lopez talked himself into a red card in last year's away game to Brisbane too.

Unrelated to (this kind of) discipline issues. I thought Irankunda looked constantly dangerous, despite not quite having the end product. Polar opposite from last year.

Are you describing every A-League defender ever here?

Maybe, but not "every A League defender ever" has 250+ La Liga games under his belt.

I feel more confident in Kitto on the other side defensively if I'm being totally honest. And that should not be the case.

Yeah fair shout, Kitto doesn't get enough plaudits imo.

Javi, Isa and Juande are all ageing and are gonna make more mistakes the longer they play.

The half-second reaction time that drops away is the difference between a clean tackle and a penalty.
