Massive game, but where will they play it? Too big for Marden surely?

Surely has to be Coopers.
Re: Preview: R16 Adelaide City v Adelaide United
This is fantastic.
Surely City will want it at Marden for a slight home advantage but needs to be at Cooper's.
This will be very well attended.
Can Goody and Halloran line up? Halloran was a free agent so presuming it's okay and Goody was signed before the Cup started.

But if we're playing A league games away because the stadium isn't ready it would suggest that it's not usable.
Otherwise they could have just played the first couple with the eastern stand closed off like last season.

Yeah good point. Wasn't sure if the other stands were still usable or not.Surely has to be Coopers.

The club has sold eastern stand season tickets so that's one reason they may not want to be open for the regular season but could do it for the FFA Cup.

Against the grain but I'd love to see a full house at Marden for this one.
What's capacity there? 4k? You'll get maybe 6-7k at an empty construction site of Hindmarsh.

An extra 2,000 tickets (minimum) at say $10 average price = $20,000.
Is that money that City can turn down?

That's the top line, but I can't imagine the hire fee of both stadiums is the same.An extra 2,000 tickets (minimum) at say $10 average price = $20,000.

Agreed. But surely the cost difference wouldn’t be anywhere near that. That's the top line, but I can't imagine the hire fee of both stadiums is the same.An extra 2,000 tickets (minimum) at say $10 average price = $20,000.

Very exciting clash amazing its taken 19 years for a true blue serious game with each other!
I'm very interested to know what the vibe will be like between fans and how torn some will be? I'm always keen to see AU win no matter who they play. But it would be interesting to see if a friendly rivalry it able to exist between the clubs? I find is so cliche that fans of clubs within the same city have to be bitter rivals and show hatred for one another. Obviously I want AU to win every game but if there was a 2nd Adelaide club in the A-league and it was doing well I would be happy that an Adelaide side is being successful. I'm not saying I don't hate on rival clubs in general, I just don't really have anything against Adel City. Maybe if they beat us that will change!
Has there really been a more feel good start to the season that this one? The club finishing the last season off with lots of promise, Great signings in the off season, (eventually) a redeveloped stadium to go to, a very positive kick off to the season with the NJ win and now an actual serious Adelaide derby coming up!
