This year feels different.
CCM are a quality side and this is going to be a tough game, but if we can get past them then anything can happen.
Almost a full squad to choose from. Tough job for CV.
Come on you Reds!!!!

The schedules this season have been stupid, e.g no games on a Friday night then 2 at the same time on Saturday!
Agree a 3:30 ko on a Sunday is not a great time slot especially as there are only 2 games all weekend!

Visions of the ball hitting Danny Vukovic in the face and rebounding onto the post and out

Sometimes you just need to put your hand up and admit you got it wrong.
Five weeks ago, I honestly didn’t think Adelaide would play finals.
Their form was dodgy, their gameplan was stale and having played more games than the chasing pack, it seemed probable they would fall away ...

Good article. Sums the season up pretty well.
Having worked hard to get the home advantage we need to win this game to get a pass mark for the season. Anything after that would be a bonus.

Agree. If we can get past CCM (huge if) then I'll be able to enjoy the semi for what will be an exciting inaugural home/away final.
Top two are a class above in terms of squad - how can they not be with their budgets. But we seem to have City's number, and if we get MV the boys will be no short of confidence.
Bit of a pity we have CCM and WU and Nux face off - I think our final is definitely the stronger of the two. Would have been good to see us both get through to the semis.

- Top 4 finish
- Sold players at a profit
- Unearthed a youth gem
- Stretch target; ACL or Cup win
This year we've
- Finished 4th (but you're right, need to win this first final)
- Sold Mauk, Halloran and MToure at profit
- Unearthed Popovic, Barr, Bernardo and perhaps Irankunda

To add to your list Rojos it's been great to see Blackwood and Kitto have their best seasons yet.
Javi has shown he's a class above.
Hiroshi looks to be the goods.
But better yet, whenever a player leaves or gets injured we somehow manage to fill their void and continue the same style of footy.

Disagree with that article's claim that Adelaide's gameplan had become "stale".Sometimes you just need to put your hand up and admit you got it wrong.

The poor run of results coincided with Adelaide deviating from said plan for some overly conservative tactics and selection + "player management". Then was compounded with a run of bad luck/brain snaps.

For me we’ve already achieved a pass mark season.
Anything can happen in finals football.
But we’re a great chance to make the semi-finals.
And then … anything can happen in finals football.
