Much better game from Blackwood tonight.
Kitto and Lopez so dangerous from wing back positions.
Goodwin solid as usual
Juande strolled the game, particularly the first half. When he is on, he is brilliant.
Hiro is the striker we needed.
That's two games in a row now where we looked far less dangerous and in control after Brook went off.
He adds so much to our attacking chances.
Defence pretty solid again and looks like we are building a centre partnership for the future.
If we play like our last two first half's, we could do a bit of damage in the finals.
If we play like our second half's, I'm not so sure
spot on in all respects.
i said this after the Perth game too, but jeez it would be nice to really put away an ordinary team for once. Sweep the leg.

I saw on social media heaps of Brisbane fans having a whinge about the refereeing but really have no idea what they're upset about, they were pretty niggly and the fouls & cards given seemed pretty equitable but maybe I just have my red-tinted glasses on
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Good win, but taking Brook and Hiro off changed the whole game and made us very vulnerable.
I cannot understand subbing Brook in this one (and some others). He covers an amazing amount of ground and gets closer and closer to a result. Heart-breaking that his tap-in was ruled out.

Brook looked dangerous while he was on. (Personally I thought he wasn't very threatening last week)
Disappointing not to finish off a bad team again. But at least they got to 2-0 relatively quickly this time.
Blackwood + Ibusuki is surely the preferred front 2 now? (Assuming Toure remains injured)

Thought Brook’s non-goal was an excellent finish, I’d call it clinical and we’ll placed, rather than a tap in.

I thought CV went to the other extreme with his subs in this game and was too defensive, almost shutting up shop at 2-0.
A few people around me were disappointed not to see the usual Nestor cameo appearance.

It looked a decent crowd when compared to some previous home games. Perhaps a few people returning due to the good results and the sniff of finals in the air. It would have been good to entice them back by going for the Brizzy jugular a bit more in the latter stages.

CV is holding Nestory back as an impact player. At 16, he can barely last 15 minutes in a match and as far as I am aware, has not yet played two consecutive matches. So it's man - boy - management.

I think the defensiveness in the second half came not so much from us putting up the shutters, but the Bore were restructured and then finally found some rhythm. There was a gigantic hole in their midfield for the entirety of the first half and once Warren Moon swapped his formation around - and presumably, tore the paint off the dressing room walls at his alleged midfielders - they finally filled that massive hole and actually started to press us.
"Hang on, lads; I've got a great idea".

that Henry Hore looks a player. With a good team around him he could be really dangerous

Agreed. And you could see how frustrated he was with some of his teammates. They weren’t just ‘not on the same page’, they were in a completely different book.

We need a reaction from Brisbane. Beat CCM tonight and CCM can’t overtake us for 4th place.

Well they had enough chances, but not enough quality.
