Toure could not find a red shirt after some good work down the right.

Poor second half but it should have been over at HT with WSW down to 10.
Battle for top 6 goes on. Just when it looks like we might be able to challenge the top 2 we fall short.
Clough still very average. Haven't seen anything from him yet.

Laugh of the night was Simon Hill implying Lachlan Brook would ever cross the ball.

Feel like we stole the points against Newcastle and had them stolen tonight.
We shouldn't and didn't need that pen to go out way to win the game.

IMO we really missed Juande tonight.

Agree.IMO we really missed Juande tonight.
Isaias is one of, if not the, best midfielders we've had grace Hindmarsh however he just hasn't been the same since his stint abroad.
Juande seems a lot more composed on the ball these days.

Maui’s departure has left us short in midfield. He was an 8 playing as a 10. So we had great box to box coverage, with a strong midfield presence and great late runs into the box, but only down the middle, no added width and sometimes leaving our striker isolated. (I don’t mean this as a criticism, he was fantastic for us).
Clough is playing as a true 10. I never feel our striker is isolated, he provides runs in behind & out wide that draw the opposition out of position and open up space, but he doesn’t give us the bite and midfield presence that Mauk did, leaving us a bit short there without another true 8 in the squad. (I don’t mean this as a criticism, I think Clough looks like he’s improving every game and will be good for us.)
I actually thought a few times tonight that Clough, having created space and been part of the build up play, was unlucky not to get a return pass when he was in great positions.

I think you've nailed it there Otto. Mauk's dynamism is definitely being missed.
I also agree on Clough. Thought he had a decent game and was starting to show signs of linking up with Ibusuki. He just needs to be a bit braver and take a few risks, but it's understandable that he might be playing within himself a bit while he tries to gel with the rest of the team.
