I'd been expecting an improvement when Ibusuki arrived and it was announced Mauk was leaving. So far it seems to have come true.

Clough has been ok, but doesn't really gel with the rest of the team and only seems to be in the side because the conventional wisdom is that sort of player is required.

I thought the Blackwood + Ibusuki combo vs Perth was the most effective front pair Adelaide have had (assuming Toure continues to start off the bench.) Purely because it gives Ibusuki, the best and most intelligent forward, more license to do his own thing.

A 4-4-2 with Ibusuki - Toure up front is exciting. Both strong, one lighting quick both very intelligent.

You have to play very direct though, Isa and D'Arrigo/Juande pinging balls straight up top or to the wingers.

In any event, we're told Toure can't do 30+mins, so we won't be seeing it for a while.
