my memory might be failing me… have George and Jakobsen played many games together?

at 24, surely there’s more potential in George than Tratt or Barr… you don’t get signed by a bundesliga club if you’re scheisse?

seems a bit weird to me, attitude problem maybe?

He was playing NPL for Sydney Olympic and then signed for Schalke who have a partnership with them. Mainly played reserves for them though.

he started in all of his 23 appearances for the reserves, in which they only lost 3

he made 1 appearance for the first team, starting in a nil all draw against Stuttgart

after doing a bit of research, he’s played more for us than I thought… 13 starts and 3 cameos off the bench

however, I was right in questioning how much George and Jako had played together… they’ve only been on the pitch at the same time once

George replaced Noah Smith at left back for the last 30 minutes against Perth last January (5:3 loss), so that hardly counts in my opinion

not up to me of course, but I’d like to see them play together at CB

he’s contracted to the end of June, give him another shot I say… with our lack of depth up back, we may regret letting him go
